The Africa-Day festival Townsville is held annually and has grown in size and popularity and gives an opportunity for Townsville to experience a taste of African culture and music, all in the one place.

The festival is hosted by The Spirit Of Africa and the African communities within the Townsville area and showcases Africa, her culture, and traditions, her music, her dance, her food, her fashion. Bringing communities and families together to celebrate. Hosting international, national, and local groups and artists, and really brings African music and culture to the forefront.  Townsville has embraced this exciting cultural event with crowds exceeding expectations and growing in numbers each year.

The festival celebrates Africa Day which is Africa Freedom Day- May 25th
